 Virgil Dinger founded Crescenta Valley Insurance in 1969. Prior to opening CVI he worked as an agent for Farmers Insurance. He is also a former owner of a photograph studio that specialized in portraits.
Born in Panama in the 40’s, Virgil came to America at the age of 12 and became an American Citizen.
Virgil has 3 grown children Julia Rabago, Rick Dinger and Joanna Nicholson. And is the proud grandfather of one grand daughter and 5 grandsons. |

 Rick Dinger is the president of Crescenta Valley Insurance, where he started his career in 1985. Rick was a student and played football at the California State University of Northridge. In 1987 he returned to his high school alma mater, St. Francis High School, and coached football and golf until 1993. Rick has been a leader in his local insurance association, serving as Chairman of the Young Brokers and Agents of the West (2001), member of the National Young Agents Committee and is a Past President of the local Burbank, Glendale & Pasadena Insurance Association. In the community, he is the Past President of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff Support Group, past president of the Montrose Chamber of Commerce; he is a former Honorary Mayor of La Crescenta, Past President of the CV Chamber of Commerce and is on the Alumni Council for Saint Francis High School, where he enjoys announcing every home varsity football game.
In 1999 Congressman James Rogan (R-Glendale) asked Rick to testify in Washington, D.C. before the House Judiciary Committee in support of the Small Business Liability Reform Act.
In 2000, Rick received the prestigious Harlan Miller Award given to a young insurance agent for outstanding service to the Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West political action program. In 2001, the Insurance Agents and Brokers of the Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena named him its member of the year. The Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce named Rick the 2001 Business Owner of the year and he has been voted the Glendale News Press Insurance Agent of the Year each year since 2002.
Rick is past chairman of California InsurPac, the political action committee for the Insurance Brokers and Agents of America (IIABA). In April of 2003 the IIABA presented Rick with the InsurPac Special Recognition Award. The award was presented to him in Washington DC.
In 2003, Rick was presented with the inaugural Anthony J. DiBuduo Award. This award is presented to the most outstanding insurance professional under the age of 40 in California.
In 2007 Rick was named Glendale Man of the Year by the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. The County of Los Angeles named Rick it’s 2008 Volunteer of the Year for the 5th District.
In February 2009, Rick was installed as the President of the Independent Insurance Agent and Brokers of the West. IBA West is the area’s leading regional trade association, representing over independent insurance agencies and brokers in California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
An avid golfer, Rick is the chairman of the Montrose Verdugo City Golf Championship, the Desi Geestman Foundation Golf Tournament and the Saint Francis Alumni Golf Classic.

 Bill Ayers began his insurance career with Northwestern Mutual Life in 1992. He wanted to sell more then just life insurance, so in 2000 he became an agent for State Farm, He then decided that the Independent Agency System was a better fit for him and his clients. In 2002 he joined Crescenta Valley Insurance. Bill sells all lines of insurance including Life, Residential and Commercial. His goals are simple, review the prospect’s risks, improve their coverage and save them money.
Bill attended Verdugo Woodlands elementary school, Wilson Jr. High and Glendale High School. In 1984 he received a Bachelors of Science from USC.
In the community, Bill has been a Football Coach at Village Christian High School for 7 years and has been the chairman of their annual golf classic for 4 years.

 Dave Jones focuses on the Private Client Group and High Net Worth clientele from the Honolulu Avenue office.
Dave’s expertise and unique client insight comes from over 11 years in the insurance industry as a local independent insurance agent. Prior to insurance, he owned P & D Plumbing Company which he founded at the age of 24.
Dave is completing his Certified Insurance Counselor (C.I.C.) designation to offer a full consultative review of each policy for all of his clients. Dave built his reputation via the old fashioned house call to his clients' homes or offices and is available off hours and for Saturday appointments.

 Eric Hamilton is a Producer at Crescenta Valley Insurance in North Glendale. He started his career in the printing and advertising industry. After 17 years of service to his clients, he decided make a change and follow in the footsteps of his father-in-law, who worked at New York Life for 20 years. Helping others protect their future became a mission in his life.
Eric graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science in Management. He uses the tools of his degree to help his clients understand the insurance they are purchasing. Listening, learning and follow-up are the keys to his success.
Crescenta Valley Insurance and their capable staff have enabled Eric to provide both Property & Casualty Insurance for Auto / Home / Business and Life / Health / Disability Insurance for families, groups and individuals.
His motto for being a trusted resource: “Ask the right questions then recommend what each client needs, instead of what each carrier is marketing, because this can make a significant difference in both premiums and the level of protection.”
Eric joined the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club in 2008 to expand his community service interests.
One of his first duties was Co-chairing the “2008 Love Ride Pancake Breakfast” fundraiser. This was not only an opportunity to raise funds, but chance to cook pancakes and be part of the community.
Being a member of the Glendale, Crescenta Valley, Montrose Chamber, La Canada Chamber, and the Armenian American Chamber has provided many avenues to educate the fellow residents about policies and coverage’s available.
He currently serves as President of the Shadow Hills Homeowners Association and has been on the Board of Directors for 11 years. He also serves on the Glendale Chamber of Commerce Board, GAR Board, Rotary Board and is a certified Civilian Emergency Response Team member.
To continue his education and professional development, Eric joined the Fiduciary Round Table of the San Gabriel Valley in 2009. The purpose of the FRT is to bring together a dynamic network of professionals qualified to provide a full range of fiduciary services to their clients. The FRT also provides a forum to promote the exchange of information and ideas.
Eric and his wife Tricia are raising their two boys, Austin (13) and Garrett (10) in Shadow Hills CA.
They enjoy horseback riding, cycling, camping and spending quality time with both family and friends. |

 Holly Huerkins began her insurance career with Farmers Insurance and joined CVI in 2006. She enjoys sitting down and getting to know her prospective clients to make sure she creates a personal risk assessment that is tailored to their needs. She has held the position of director for the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Insurance Brokers and Agents of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena. Holly is the mother of three daughters that have attended local schools, she has been active in local youth sports organizations and is a member of the Montrose Church. She is a proud supporter of the Foothills Relay for Life and the Desi Geestman Foundation. In her spare time she enjoys Running, Biking, Golfing, Hiking Kayaking and Skiing. |

 Shawn White started his insurance career with the Crescenta Valley Insurance Agency in 1997. As a licensed agent in Life, Health, Property and Casualty insurance, he is committed to helping his clients manage their personal and business risks. In the last 12 years, Shawn has grown a large cliental by putting his client’s needs first.
Shawn served for five years on the Insurance Brokers and Agents of Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena (IBA-BGP) board, holding positions from Treasurer to President. The IBA-BGP is comprised of 45 insurance agency members and 27 associate members. The association provides insurance and financial products, business services and education programs that enhance their member’s ability to serve their customers with emphasis on integrity and excellence in business practices.
He participated in a variety of fundraising activities supporting local causes. He has earned awards for service such as, Member of the Year Award in recognition for outstanding service to the insurance industry and the IBA-BGP, 2008; Congress of the United States/David Dreier recognized his outstanding service to the community, 2007; and the Character and Ethics award from the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce, 2004.
Shawn is dedicated to his community. He has served on his church board, participates in the local chamber and other community events. In addition, He has coached Crescenta Valley Little League and AYSO Region 88 teams.
